I launched a new website yesterday: Emily’s Beads. It’s a bit of a pet project I’ve been working on for a couple of months.

I started working on it to try out using the PayPal shopping cart on a site and find out exactly how it works - thought that would help with enquiries from potential clients. Once I started working on it I got a bit carried away and it’s turned into a bit more than that.

The site is to (hopefully) sell some of my beaded jewellery, so there’s a shop section arranged by category, but I’ve also put in some ‘added value’ sections to contain book reviews and tutorials (there is one of each at the moment, so I will be continuing work on that). I’m pretty pleased with the results. Even if I don’t actually sell anything it can be used as a demonstration of how the PayPal system works.
