Dark Messiah of Might & Magic

Bit of news for anyone who enjoyed the RPG Arx Fatalis:
Dark Messiah of Might & Magic

Arkane, the chaps behind Arx Fatalis are working on a new game. Alas not a sequel to Arx Fatalis (how many times can I mention Arx Fatalis in this post?) but a continuation of the long running Might & Magic series.
Obviously that’s great for fans of Might & Magic (which gets a big old ‘eh?’ from me) but a bit disappointing for those of us hoping for a sequel to Arx Fatalis or even better something completely new!

Oh, and they’re advertising for level designers familiar with something called the ‘Source’ engine!

The Source engine seems to be the engine developered for Half Life 2, but now licenced separately:

How cooler a job would that be (in theory)?

I must be more subtle than I thought - I was being a bit sarcy with the last sentence!

Yes it’s the luverly Source engine. It’s already been put to use in a RPG by the developers Troika for the catchily named ‘Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines’. Sadly it was their last game before they went bust!
