Seasonal TV

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

What with it being Christmas and wanting to get into a seasonal frame of mind, I found myself watching the old BBC series of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe over the last week. My parents bought me the DVD last year I think. It’s a good old trip down memory lane. It’s not exactly the most well-made series ever but it’s good fun.

It’s reminded me that I have seen the recent film version yet. Is it any good? Must get hold of a copy sometime. A quick Google search tells me that they’re currently making Prince Caspian, due for release in 2008.

Noooooo!!!!!!

I have to say I had a bit of a shock when I popped out to the Co-op this morning. I know that I should be used to it by now, but still… What’s the problem? Christmas has barely gone by and they’ve already changed the display to Cadbury’s Creme Eggs!!!! Can’t we just have five minutes where there is no ’seasonal’ display? Please??

World’s Tallest Man Saves Dolphin!

Thursday, December 14th, 2006

How’d he do it then?
By using his extra height to reach a dolphin that had somehow got trapped up a tree (”Those dang dolphins are playing in my apple tree again!”)?
By using his extra height to stride manfully out to sea to help a dolphin being bullied by sharks?
Nope.
He uses his extra long arms to reach into the dolphins’ stomach to pull out pieces of plastic that they had swallowed.
